Webb Landscaping Inc.

The Webb Story

Like many people in the valley, Doug Webb came here in the 1970s to ski. Like most locals of the valley, he never left. With his pickup truck and first Sensation Mower, Doug opened shop in 1972 as the one and only employee of Webb Landscape. Since then, the business has grown into two locations with more than 170 employee owners working at peak season.

In 1980, Webb established the first nursery in the area and in 1981; we produced the first local Aspen seedlings. 1982 brought the introduction of hydrapressed slabs to the region providing durable surfaces at a great value. Webb also remains the only landscape business in the valley that offers a lifetime guarantee on all Webb-installed and maintained plants, materials and services.

As he approached his retirement, Doug saw the dedication in his employees and decided to put the business in their hands. In 2001, Webb became an ESOP company, a program in which employees accumulate stock and become part-owners. This gave employees an even stronger sense of pride in their work and participation in the continuous improvement of Webb. For our customers, this means many more years of high-quality products, services and relationships at a better value than anywhere else.

Over 35 years after Doug started Webb Landscape, his founding principles remain the same. You’ll always find the finest stock available in the Rocky Mountain region, receive expert service for all your outdoor lifestyle needs and know that the most innovative techniques are being use to care for your property.

Throughout the years, quality has always been the cornerstone of the company; it’s a shared drive among the diverse personalities at Webb and it compels a spirit of teamwork and a passion for innovation. As a result, Webb has built a reputation for pioneering the industry in the Wood River Valley.

Stewardship

Environmental responsibility starts within a business. That’s why we offer Organic Property Services and employ internal techniques for going green such as RideShare shuttle vans. But we know it needs to go beyond there. Our community offers many amazing ways to positively impact the development of the Wood River Valley and preserve our quality of life.

As partners of the Wood River Valley Economic Development Board and Sustain Blaine, we are afforded the opportunity to share our input and also take action toward the progress this valley needs. Webb is also actively involved in Habitat for Humanity and has established a local High School Scholarship Fund. In our participation, we hope to not only give back, but also nurture the valley’s distinctive spirit.

Webb has always been in the business of best practices and we will continue to adopt earth-friendly techniques in and outside of our company. We recognize our responsibilities and understand that the actions taken now will affect generations to come.
